Good luck James. Sorry I didn't get to see ya off. Keep me posted on your new job. I'm kinda curious how it's gonna hit ya. I have a buddy up there named Dave Frisk, he's a car guy.... LS1 fan... Good crewchief as well. Look him up he might be able to help you out with anything if ya need.
LATE!!! |

Sucks to see you go man but you are going to a better place (almost guarantee that if it's Abilene you are leaving) with more to do. Good luck bro!

I will miss you. No homo. Sorry I couldn't be there to drink one last beer with you, but you always have an open invitation if you ever find yourself back in Abilene. Take care of the wife, we'll see you on the boards I'm sure.
@ John, Dave is up there?? I just ran into him at the mall like last week...

I made it here in one day. It was a killer drive, but I did it. I had no idea northern TX and southern KS (with the little sliver of OK in there) were so hilly. It was 996 miles according to my GPS and it took me 16 hours, 45 minutes.
I'm sure I'll be back in Abilene one day for one reason or another. Hopefully not, but I'm sure it'll happen. I'll keep you posted John and I'll keep an eye out for Dave Frisk. |

Not bad, esp towing a car. I made it 909 miles home last Saturday at just under 13 hrs, but towing the Bullitt last year it took me about 14.5 hrs.

Usually going from Abilene to Phoenix it took me about 12 hours and that's about 950 miles, but it's all interstate and the speed limit between Odessa and El Paso is 80, then 75 in AZ. This drive to Rapid was 80% state highways. I hit one interstate in KS going from Oakley, KS in to eastern CO, then got on a state highway there. I think I hit two interstates in NE. I was fried when I got to the house here though.
