Wanted to give a shout out to Corey for letting me buy his Bassani's cheap from him.
And for taking me on base and getting it on the lift and getting them on.

They sound great with my setup!

Now I just have to get rid of that HORRIBLE rattle that is there... but it was there when the stock exhaust was put back on also.
Like I said in the other thread makes me wonder if it is an issue with the x pipe somewhere or the over axle pipe.
I'm no expert though and not good at spotting these things so I have to go to others for help on it.

Anyways... Thanks so much Corey!

You need to jack the car up and put it on four jack stands, start the car up, have someone rev it while you move around under your car looking for the rattle. I've never seen anyone have so many issues with effing rattles.

two hangers for each muffler.

on the x pipe...they actually took two hangers OFF.
Dont remember if it was the x pipe or the over axle.

But they took them off when I was having that horrible vibration in the dash when I had the SLP's on.
The guy that took them off said Ford was having problems with their hangers at that spot and that Ford was directing the dealerships to take the hangers off when the problem arose. But the rattle was there when the stock exhaust was put on and the hangers were NOT taken off yet.

Yeah I know Red. Every since I had the headers put on I have had problem after problem with this crap.
It is now beyond an inconvenience. It is a real problem that HAS to get fixed.

P.S.

I have gone to a number of forums and it seems like there are alot of people that get rattles once these types of things are done.
I searched and made a list of possible things to look for. Problem is that I have actually never SEEN these things so just reading without seeing
pics of the problems described can be difficult for a novice like me.

When I take it in tomorrow, wherever I do... I'm going to be there under the car looking myself. I think I'll take your advice too Red and have the car running while they look.
I am so ready to finally get these problems out of my way and have the car operating like it should so that I can enjoy the mods I have done.

If it makes you feel better, I had to have my driver side muffler hanger adjusted to stop it from squeaking. And have a mysterious slight leaky exhaust sound from my x-pipe that nobody can find or fix. Maybe it's all the vibrations that loosen things up when we start noticing these things.

I have heard of ALL SORTS of issues with our exhaust that cause them to vibrate.
That is what makes this so frustrating is that there seem to be so many issues that it could be.

But like I said I HAVE to get it solved because from the inside it sounds like my car
is going to fall apart the rattle is so bad.

I'd take it back to the shop that did the header install and have them listen to the ratles, then have them do everything over again, remove and reinstall the whole exhaust system, and then have them ride around with you again to make sure the rattle is gone.

did you check the tsp to make sure the guy wasnt talking out of his ass for the hangers? and the Leaky exhaust sound/fluttering may be the X-pipe/colliding exhaust.

FIXED!

Turned out the over axle pipe was resting on a bar on the driver side once it heated up.
It was also causing the muffler to angle upward and thus even though when the car was still it looked like it wasn't touching the bumper... when the muffler got heated up the tip was touching the plastic part of the bumper.

It melted a tad bid of the bumper at the contact point. Nothing noticeable.
I think Corey may have had the same thing happen because he showed me where there was some plastic that had melted onto the muffler.

They did have to adjust the over axle pipe so I think it was happening with both sets of mufflers, stock and these because it was the same rattle.
They also tightened the over axle pipe where it met with the x pipe.
We noticed it was wiggling before so it was tightened more. Did not check for air sound after that but I know it was there before because me and Corey felt a little.

The guys at the Muffler Shop said the clamps that came with the setup were crap and that if it wiggled loose again they suggested tack welding a little.

Richard.... the shop that did the original work was Gear Heads lol.
And after three trips there I'm not going back unless I had a major problem.
Plus the rattle came AFTER the stock mufflers were put on so technically I guess
the Muffler Shop did'nt get the stockers on good but I think the reason was that the over axle pipe was not clamped good enough where it met the X like I said... and Gear Heads were the guys that hooked that up. Maybe just took some time for it to loosen up enough.

But no rattles now at all.
Now I just hear the great sound of the exhaust with the cams!
Terry actually did it for free so a thanks to him even though he wont read this.
