Been here off & on since I was assigned to Dyess in 1980 (retired in 1988 while stationed in SOCAL & moved back to Abilene). Went to work for the State but after a couple of years had to move away to stay with 'em. My father passed away so I retired early to go to Fort Worth to take care of my ailing mother (who passed last year). I've brought my Dart Iron-Eagle 363 Stroker, 5-speed, Wimbeldon White 66 GT Convertible (Red Interior) & my ProCharger-D Livernois "5.0" Stroker 3V, TR-6060 Dark Blue 05 Roush 'Vert back with me. Squid knows me from attendance at DFW car shows. A 5.7 Dodge Hemi with 5-Speed Automatic is in my wife's 64 Studebaker Wagonaire & it is about finished (gauges & a/c remaining to be done). I hope it will be finished & over here this Fall. Here are a few pics of the 66 & 05 Roush (I'll post some of wife's Hemi-Stude' if anyone is interested).

Welcome to AM, I remember seeing your Roush at a show or two here and in DFW if I'm not mistaken.

BB you are correct, while I was taking care of my late mother (and she was well enough to be left a few hours) I made it to some shows in the DFW area with either my 66 GT or 05 Roush. With some help on occasions I came to a show or two over here (I worked it out one year that I attend Cruise Night with both the 66 & 05). When my wife's Studebaker was stock it was also at one of the Cruise Nights. I don't recall when the Cruise Nights are held but I hope to make it to a Cruise Night with her now Hemi Powered Studebaker (if it is done by then). Here are some pics showing the preperations for the 04 Cruise Night and a couple of my wife & friends standing in back with the top slid forward.

Very nice. :t)
I think the Cruise Nights here are in Sept, just listen to KEAN 105 in the pcoming weeks, they should be making several announcements.

Thanks! I hope it is after the 9th 'cause I'll be in Houston until then...her Stude' won't be ready (without Devine intervention), but maybe I can get either or both the 66 & 05 'Verts there!

Wow, I had no idea cars like that existed in Abilene!

Same here, I never see those around town.

Several were race cars (so no or limited street use I'd bet) others from nearby area towns. The Stude' Wagon was for sale, asking $10K by Lane Lowrey 325-721-4932.

Someone asked when the Big Spring Car Show is and I just found out it is tomorrow, Saturday, Sept 4th. It is said to be the oldest and largest car show in Texas so if you go you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. I can't attend because I'm "house sitting" for my daughter down in Houston.
