Ya i did it the following morning when I woke up. Then noticed my tune was still on the stock airbox, but all the other changes I had made were fine.

depends on your application. I plan to stay NA for quite awhile so there for I want higher revs. If you want to do :gotnx: then stay around the 4.10 or 3.73 range, turbo no more then a 3.55, and if going with a centurifical or twin screw charger id stay around the 3.73/4.10 range.

auto's 3.73
manual 4.10

n/a manual 4.30 or 4.56's!!!

+1, dead on. Wish I would Have gotten 4.30's. And to think I almost let the shop talk me into 3.73's. Have a different transmission than that what are on the 05+, but close enough.

yup! i use it all the time, it's awsome I just crawl onto base at the perfect speed... then show my ID and punch it till about 25 mph or so!

Honestly, you would be surprised. My buddy has a STOCK 99 Cobra, save for a X pipe, cat back, and 4.56s. He had DRs and would rape 330+AWHP STis out of the hole by 4-5 cars. NO joke. If you can drive, and have some decent tires...you won't want anything less than a 4.10 EVER. Unless you have a turbo...;)

the whine is about 5-6. It moderate and I expected it with movite gears. But that is why God invented loud exhaust, windows and ac/dc!

unless you want a certain gear ratio that ford actually dosent make... My 4.30's are a frpp part number and came in a ford box. But the last letter makes it or breaks it. I'm set on the loose side but maybe someday I'll get back down there and matt and i can play with them some more. But I'm very happy.

You are on the tight side. Remember, it was loose...I didn't like it and re-shimed it? Yours are on the edge of too tight. Hence the little gear whine....

Brandons were a little looser, and you really cant hear his...but what can you hear in that car. lol.

You don't install them and don't know the difference...my buddy had Motive 4.56s in his 99 Cobra. No whine. My FRPP 4.10s had whine. Its how you set them up. Plus after you do something like that, you are more 'in tune' to hear it cause you are expecting it....go out sometime Corey and let me know if you hear any whine on decel....I bet there is a little...just a little.
