were also supposed to get social networking site access sometime early may for ACC bases.

Yeah I didn't have it in my bookmarks since ... ever, now, because since last April when they started blocking all websites that didn't have an internet police category attached to it ("none"), I hadn't been able to get to the site.

But yeah, Facebook should be up May 1 for ACC bases. There's an article on the Portal.

I read an article on AF.mil at the end of Feb that said social networking sites to include facebook and youtube will be allowed on non-classified computers. The DoD has 180 days from 26 Feb to comply with it.

AF Portal had an article up this week, PACAF had it up a couple weeks ago, AMC had it up this week I think, and ACC is getting it May 1st. Prepare to watch network bandwidth speeds go from "ehh" to "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU..."

If you thought finance and MPF sucked ass before...wait until this shit goes through. Nothing will get done!

(My wife works in finance and I told her that when I read the article initially, expecting her to be pissed, but she said "you're probably right".)

Ya know, I don't think this is helpful. I'm currently being MEB'ed and the most Likly outcome is dicharge. Now I have looked at a website or two at work but I always stay busy. This is going to have the computers tied up for unneccesary crap... Just like the wastes that sit on craigslist for half there shifts and can't get a doc review done.

Doc reviews in the B-1 world suck dick BTW. At least here. Transcribing forms is stupid in CAMS and here. GO-81 and C-130s are soooo much easier.

Transcribing forms and doing a DR on a 130 takes about 30-45 minutes total. I've seen them take all day here. It's ridiculous.
