Had a coworker that was offloading some things so she could move into a small apartment while her husband deployed, and one of the things that had to go was his "old car". So she asked if I was interested, and when she told me what the car was, I wasn't too interested, to be honest, but I said, ehh, how much you looking to get for it? What she said sealed the deal and I pretty much knew I'd be buying it before having ever seen the car. lol
So, here's what I picked up, a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. It's got 98k miles on it and is in dang good shape for the miles, interior cleaned right up with a quick vacuuming, no stains, etc. The exterior, I've been able to do a quick pass at the DIY carwash, but it could stand to be claybarred. Just a few minor cosmetic things like a door ding and a few chips in the paint, but otherwise close to flawless. Mechanically, the car drives pretty good considering it had been sitting for close to a year. I still have some looking around to do to make sure everything's on the up and up, I plan on just bringing it down to my folks at the dealership and having them give it a once over, flush the fluids, etc... The only things I have seen that will need attn is the parking brake (doesn't engage at all) and the driver's inside door handle (gotta roll down the window, reach out, and open it from the outside).

The best part? I only paid $800 cash for this thing! It's a great little daily driver and is pretty fun to drive. Of course, fun to drive is a relative term for me anymore, as I've not driven my Mustang in over 2 years now... :( lol
Anyways, the car is spoken for. I had it sold to my brother within an hour of picking it up! lol He graduates from college next month and this will be a perfect ride for him while he's looking for a job.
And yes, this is my first ever import. I'm gonna de-rice it before I give it to my brother, lol. Got some smoked taillights coming to replace the altezzas that are on it now...
But yeah, that's the new toy...
