Back around Sept or Oct, Ford updated their requirements for qualifying for their X-plan. It used to be, you could own one share of Ford Motor Company stock (F), and get a PIN. Then it changed to 50 shares required.
The newest requirement is 100 shares, owned for at least 6 months. At today's prices, that'll put you back around $1,030. Hold on to that for 6 months, get your X-plan PIN and save, on average, $2,800 off right away, plus you get any rebates/discounts. Then you can turn around and sell your shares of Ford if you want, and with the way things are going, turn a profit on your investment. It's a win-win situation.
Just thought I'd pass on the info... It's something I've been looking into recently since getting into buying Ford stock...
