I'm posting this in regards to all the BS that was posted throughout the forums last night. I don't want this to come across the wrong way, so please just read it, look at it from my point of view, and try to see where I'm coming from.
I don't have a problem with trash talking. I personally think it can be fun (at times) to read, take part in, etc. But I also believe there's a line that can be reached. What I don't want is for the bullshit to get so deep so fast that people start leaving the site. AbileneMustangs is in its very early stages, and each member is valuable and should be treated as such. I know for most of you this is "just another forum". But for me personally, I've already got a couple hundred bucks wrapped up in this site through domain name registrations, vBulletin software purchases, hosting fees, themes, etc. And I'm putting more aside for future plans like decals, tshirts, etc (things where we would need to pay in advance to place a minimum order, set up fees, etc.). So basically, it's an investment for me, and I'd be remissed if I didn't do everything within my power to protect that investment.
Translation = I don't want to lose any current or future members due to the BS talking.
With that being said, you'll notice there is a new subforum under the Lounge called the "BS Lounge (http://www.forums.abilenemustangs.net/forumdisplay.php?f=27)". If you feel like talking trash to someone on the site, please take it there, or to PM's. Pretty much anything goes in there, but I will step in if I feel things are getting personal.
