So after the last 5 years or so of getting the run around with my back. I finally got fixed. Well still in work but a hellofalot better.

The base clinic really scares me with what I've had happen to me and what others have had happen to them.

My last visit with my PCM he said and I quote" if your not better after a month yournot going to get any better". This was a MONTH after two major spine operation!! all he kept talking about was giving me the boot.

I finally had to go back, and I put in paperwork through tricare to swap doctors. The new doctor was like,What!! When I told her what I had been through. I really hope this one is better than the last.

Yep. They suck. They tried to tell me my son needed skull surgery when he was six months old. I took that one all the way up to the med group commander after my second opinion told me that the doctor that said my son needed the surgery didn't know wtf he was talking about. Needless to say, after that, we had a referral to go off base.

I honestly don't know how these military doctors can know so little but yet feel like they're giving people adequate care and attention. It's terrible. I'd almost rather pay out of pocket for a doctor visit and prescription meds.

Funny part, didn't Obama say that we should get free healthcare. I'll pay for it, just a soon as he refigurrs that into my monthly pay. Then I will never use a base medical facility again! Then we won't fund people like the hasan dude from fort hood. Let them be doctors, but let them go pay for it. Keep a short staff for emergencies and on the job or war wound type thing and let us choose who we want to treat us

Tricare is what the rest of the country's health insurance would be like if Obama gets what he wants. Tricare is socialized medicine.

You get what you pay for...

Absolutely right. Personally, I'd rather get paid an extra $200-400/mo and be able to choose my own civilian healthcare provider and pay for it.
