Everyone's been hearing the rumors for a while now, everyone was expecting 400hp estimates. According to someone that's actually had one on an engine dyno, the numbers are going to be closer to 425hp (advertised), with the actual dyno numbers showing 468hp.
:headbang2:
Expect an official release on Dec 7.

LoL
Those numbers are from someone who physically has the motor in their possession and ran it on a bench dyno. Granted, that may or may not be the final tune Ford goes with, but still... we have an idea what it's capable of.

I'll try and make a call this week to a connection I have. His shop is known for getting let's just say parts.... Before ford releases them. Maybe he can give me some insight. He is said to be the guy who wrote the tunefor the shelby's at least two of the models. To bad I'm not closer to home. His shop is like a 4 hour drive from my old stomping grounds

Back to the original thread topic, :D
Someone on another forum did some thinking/calculating...
In general, over the past 2 decades or so, the GT has produced about 43% more power than the V6 of the same model year. Since the new 2011 V6 is being advertised as 305hp, that should put the 4V 5.0L GT at around 436hp. How much of a kick in the face would it be to the camaro if both the V6 and GT Mustangs had more hp? :D
