passing inspection

Ok i Have an offroad x pipe for my 88 gt, i was told that if you dont have cats on your car you wont pass inspection. so i pulled the x pipe off and put the stock setup back on. then i was told that you can pass inspections without cats, that taylor is not an emmisions county so it doesnt matter. WHich One is it? and if you need cats are there any shops that will pass you if your not up to inspection standerds

you do have to have cats, but there are plenty of places that will pass you

just do it, if they check and you dont pass, you just redo the inspection later.

i did it on my 88 and passed.

I got my last Mustang inspection at some shop in Tye behind Jag's a about 1/2 mile. They never even looked under my car.
