Some of you may have noticed me sporting a new sig... here's why.
As of Thursday night, it's official, the Bullitt has returned to Abilene, TX!!!
For those that don't know, the Bullitt suffered from a bent rod after I managed to suck up some water through the JLT intake back in March '08. In August '08, I towed it to BMCP HQ in WPB, FL, where it stayed until earlier this week. I couldn't take the leave to go get it myself, so I found a shipping company to bring it to me. Wasn't the best experience of my life, but, having worked in the car shipping business before, it certainly could have been worse. The Bullitt was filthy dirty from the trip here, with fluids from the other cars on the truck dripping on it along the way. Corey actually volunteered to help me out by washing it with Dawn the next morning while I was at work. Below are a couple pictures he took. I'll take more pics whenever I get back to Abilene and get it thoroughly detailed, hopefully from MY own garage! (I'm in San Antonio for about 5 weeks.)
Anyways, the Bullitt is still inop, but I've got a game plan for a build and have started picking up parts when/where I can. The Bullitt is staying as a n/a 2V, but will be putting down Terminator numbers if everything goes as planned. No timeframe of when it will be up and running, we'll see how things go.
