Placed my order for a 2010 GT today

I've been talking to the sales manager at West Texas Ford in Anson since Memorial Day, and this morning got confirmation that the order for my next Mustang has been placed!

I ordered a 2010 Premium GT, 400A Pkg - Dark Charcoal Gray leather interior, Spoiler Delete, Security Pkg, and HID's as the only options. Didn't see a need for all the fancy electronics like Navigation and a Mach1000 stereo system. I was going to get upgraded wheels but I have something in mind for that already, so figured why spend the extra coin on those, I'll just take the stockers for now.
I was hoping to get the FRPP Pkg's installed, but according to the dealer, I'm placing my order just a little early for that. But since it will be 2 months before the car gets here anyway, I'm going to see about the dealer adding them on anyway once the car arrives. I want to get the FR1 Power Upgrade Pack and the FR3 Handling Pack, then depending on how much wiggle room I've got on the final price, MAYBE see about adding the FR Super Pack (Whipple!!!). The best part is, they are all backed by factory warranty.

I will be trading in (or selling) the truck. Getting rid of the Bullitt is not 100% necessary right now, but I will be bringing it back to TX before taking delivery of the 2010. If I can't sell the truck for what I want, or the dealer's offer on the trade in isn't where I want it, I may sell the Bullitt too just to offset the difference so I'm not upside down going into the new car.









Oh... and I LOVE black vehicles, but I ended up going with the Grabber Blue!

The grabber blue is an EXELLENT choice. West Texas Ford in Anson is a great dealership.
I'd use them ANYDAY over the dealership here. (not trying to talk trash just saying)

BTW you couldnt have picked a sexier color Rich. That color just pops. I am also a fan of the Kona Blue GT's too.

After reading this thread I laid down in bed and flipped over to SPEED and what do you know, they were doing a test drive of a 2010 Grabber Blue GT and a 2010 Kona Blue shelby. They look way better screaming down the road.

I got that episode on SPEED DVR'd! Corey, John and I all watched it Memorial Day before driving to Anson to check out the new Camaro up there, I think that's what did me in! lol I love that Grabber Blue GT with the Whipple package they drove against the GT500!

Btw, did you notice the purple tint to the Kona Blue when they showed it in the sunshine? I never noticed that before, it's almost like Mystichrome purple coming out of that deep blue. Which is cool, but not for me... not after seeing Grabber Blue anyway. :D

hey Rich, can you do something for me photo shop wise. on thr 2010 your color paint the good only where it raises so only the raised part is black i think it will give it the illusion of being a bigger cowl. just wanting to see how it looks

BTW, got a VIN today!! Car should be here the week of July 13, which just happens to be the first week I'll be in school in San Antonio. But talking to the sales manager, he can track it for me and once it gets to DFW, he can mark it as "hot" and pretty much get it overnighted, so I MAY be able to get it before going to school. :D

I've been doing some thinking over the last 2 or 3 nights and have decided to not go through with the 2010. There were a few factors that played into the decision, but long story short, it doesn't make sense to have two nice Mustangs (GT + Bullitt) and nothing to tow either one. So I'm going to keep the truck and build the Bullitt as I can. One big factor was finding out that I'm going to be here in Abilene for a couple more years, so I might as well try to get out of this apartment and into a house... with a garage. :)

You remember Jason? The guy with the black 6er that bought my FR500's? He PCSed to Lackland last year and his house is still on the market. I'm 99% sure I'll be moving in there. Already talked everything out with USAA, just need the official pre-approval and lock in the awesome interest rate they offered me.

As far as problems in the apartments, outside of catching some dudes stealing patio furniture one night, I haven't seen anything going on here in CJ. The kids being loud at the pool is about the most annoying thing I have to deal with. But the eye candy that shows up makes it tolerable. LOL
