A while back I got this idea to put together an all Mustang coloring book, using 'toons' of club members' Mustangs. Well, we advertised, I got a few hits, and these are the final products I came away with. After realizing how much work I was actually putting into these, I decided not to call them toons anymore, but call them line renderings.
What I do is take an image of a car and then draw (with the mouse) each line separately, then bend the line to match the lines in the picture, then connect if possible. To put that in perspective, these images contain anywhere from 800-1400 individual lines... each. Also, because of the format these are saved in, they can be blown up to literally life size without losing resolution - say it with me kids: "Vector Graphics". :D
Take a looksy...

And then, once I got smart and realized I was selling myself short, I decided to take a stab at a real toon. Grabbed a pencil and some tracing paper, sketched this out, scanned it into the computer, and then went through the same process as the line renderings, then went back and put some color/shading into it. This is also a vector graphic and can be blown up to any size imagineable.

Anyways, that's it. I do this stuff on the side along with my photography, under the name TROSTstudios. :D
