AbileneMustangs is iPhone friendly (Stage I)

I know we have at least a couple of us on here that are iPhone users, so I've put together a couple of things for us. :D

This is the first of what hopefully will be two announcements regarding how AbileneMustangs will be "iPhone Friendly". Those of you that know what I have in mind for Stage II, please keep your mouths shut! :nono: LOL


Anyways, here we go.

I've created a wallpaper for you to use. You can remove those silly pictures of your car(s), kid(s), or semi naked chics you don't have a chance of ever hooking up with in real life, and show how hard core you are about being an AbileneMustangs member! :cheer:
This is just the first of what will be a few designs at least. (And if there are any special requests, feel free to ask. I can include images of your cars, your screen name, etc... :t) )

To use this image, save it to your iPhone and set to wallpaper.

The next little thing I did was add an iPhone icon to our directory.
Basically, the iPhone allows you to save a bookmark directly to your homescreen, so you don't have to open up Safari, go to your bookmarks, and find the link to the site you want to visit. When viewing the forums index (http://www.forums.abilenemustangs.net/index.php) page, click the "+" button at the bottom of the screen, then "Add to Home Screen". This will add a bookmark icon to your home screen. (If the icon wasn't in place, it'd just give you a screen shot of the page you are on and turn that into your icon.)

This isn't anything super special at this time, but here's what it looks like with our new icon.

Anyways, that's it for Stage I... for now. I'll probably get some more wallpapers done up and come up with something else for the icon, but I wanted to get these posted anyways. I love my iPhone and love being able to do something unique like this for AbileneMustangs!

well it kinda works... i need it wider and not so tall. it cuts off the words in the middle of both lines.

If you can take a screenshot with your phone and email me the pic it pops out, I'll have the dimensions and be able to throw something together. either that or just find me the screen resolution for your phone. I'll do some looking too.

Edit: looks like both resolutions are the same... 480x320... Best thing to do would just be to send me a screenshot from your phone, or if you downloaded a wallpaper for it, send me that and I'll just match the size.

I just unlocked my iPhone 3G (www.quickpwn.com (http://www.quickpwn.com/)) and installed a new Mustang theme! It's pretty wicked cool!! There's SO much you can do now with the phone since it's been jailbroken! Here are some screenshots!

You'll notice in the last screenshot there's an app called VideoRecorder3G. It's a trial version - 30 video clips up to 30 seconds each - but you can buy the license ($20) and have unlimited clips unlimited file size. The cool thing about it is, unlike past hacks where you couldn't do anything with the video file, you can now include it as an attachment and email it to yourself or your friends, but also, you can upload directly to YouTube!
