FUN FORD WEEKEND BRINGS HEADS UP RACING TO TEXAS MOTORPLEX
ENNIS, Texas (August 19, 2011) – The Fun Ford Weekend series, presented by Roush Yates and JE Pistons, will return to Texas Motorplex on October 8th, bringing a jam-packed day for Ford lovers in North Texas. Specifically, many fans will be excited to learn that Texas Motorplex has added heads up racing to their event. The day will also include a large car show, drag race, swap meet, and autocross.
The Motorplex General Manager Gabrielle Stevenson played a large part in bringing back heads up racing when requests from fans acme rolling in.
“We want the return of Fun Ford Racing to be an exciting and entertaining weekend for everyone who has ever loved a Blue Oval vehicle,” Stevenson said. “This event will have everything including heads up racing. Fans wanted some heads up classes back at Texas Motorplex and we jumped at the chance to add some classes to Fun Ford Weekend.”
This event will serve as the fourth of 5 events this year, expanding to 10 or more events next year in 2012.

Participant entry fee: All Fun Ford Weekend participants will be charged $25 to enter the participant gate (Gate 10).
Participants in autocross, Show-n-Shine, Swap Meet and Car Corral will not have to pay additional fees at the Registration Center. Participants in Quick Ford (box, transbrake), Fast Ford (no box, no transbrake), True Street DOT (street legal, insured), Quick 16 DOT, Dial for Dollars, Judged Car Show, Heads Up Tough Trucks, Heads up Four-Door Frenzy and Heads Up Mustang Madness are required to pay additional fees as follows when picking up registration and tech cards at the Registration Center.
