Latino Nights Car Show

And now for something a little different. :)

Matt (bsmoke) and I showed our cars today at the 1st Annual Latino Nights Car Show and DJ Contest. Had visits from Arnold and Korey and met up with a few other folks we know, and got a chance to talk to a couple of the guys from the other clubs that hosted the show today. Lowriders and bouncy cars has never really been my thing, but they are car guys just like us, and it was a cool experience being able to see that side of things. The level of pride in the vehicles is no different than what any of us has for our own cars.

The show started at 10 and winners were announced a little after 3. Matt and I both took home some hardware, though it's left up to our own interpretations, I guess, of what we actually took home. I took a 2nd place trophy, Matt took a 3rd place trophy. That said, it sounds like they created a class specifically for us, and didn't have trophies pre-ordered for it, so they worked what they could to give us something to take home, which is really cool.

If any of the Legacy or Royalty car club guys/gals, or Latino Nights folks are reading this, thanks for putting on a great show and extending the invitation to all of us muscle car guys! Being that this was your first annual show, I hope we can come back out for next year's show!

Yes sir, 67. And that Galaxie was badass! I've been wanting a Galaxie to restomod for a while, it'd be a cool Andy Griffith tribute car. :D
